Session Sharing
Webfuse allows sessions to be shared in real-time, enabling a fully collaborative experience where multiple participants can view and interact with a live session. When a Space is configured for being shared, all participants can see the actions performed by the tab owner, enabling real-time collaboration. A shared Space’s URL will, other than by default, not create an individual Session for every other user, but point every user at the same Session.
Enabling Session Sharing activates the Participant Panel, displaying all active users and their roles. Additionally, each virtual Tab will indicate its owner, making it easy to track who is controlling the session. In shared sessions, Webfuse allows for real-time control switching between participants. The Host can grant control to another user, allowing them to interact with the web session as if it were their own. This is particularly useful for remote support, guided walkthroughs, and collaborative work environments.
- User Roles and Permissions – Describe the granularity of control over user permissions and roles within a shared session. There are different user roles, including Participant, Space Admin, Tab Owner, and Host. Space Admins can control session settings, manage participants, and modify session properties, while a Host ensures continuity in shared sessions.
- Collaborative Tools and Interfaces – Webfuse includes a Participant Panel for managing users, a Communication Panel for real-time chat and video conferencing, and the ability to share tabs across users.
- Presenter Mode – A single participant (Host) controls the session, and others can only view.
- Interactive Mode – Participants can switch control among themselves, promoting real-time collaboration.
- Role-Based Switching – Space Admins can enforce control policies based on user roles.
Collaboration Modes
Section titled “Collaboration Modes”Webfuse offers two primary collaborative modes. These modes ensure flexibility for different use cases, from webinar-style presentations to interactive, peer-driven collaboration.
- Single Presenter Mode – A single Host dictates what other participants see and interact with. If the Host leaves, the session ends.
- Multi Presenter Mode: – All participants can freely navigate, open tabs, and follow each other’s views.
